This corrective release fixes the checksum-manifest handoff in package publication. Release creation persists SHA256SUMS beside the inspected tarballs before the final verifier reads it and compares registry integrity and release assets.

Verification and compatibility

The creation-to-verification regression exercises the missing-file failure that stopped the final 2026.9.1 workflow check. Independent downloads verified that all three 2026.9.1 packages matched their respective registry integrity and repository release checksums. Those tags and artifacts remain unchanged.

Corrective release gates and publication receipts are pending. This release changes no storage contract or shard profile. The source-note-upsert contract and named-profile limitations described in v2026.9.1 remain in effect; the suite-level NO-GO boundary is unchanged.
